Mytown Live takes updates from Twitter.com and filters them in a way that let's our users sort by things like the best pubs to go to tonight or, a great local restaurant that is having a special offer. There might be a breaking news story that local people know about before the news stations, real eye witness accounts coming straight through twitter and then being filtered through mytown Live. The way that people access information about every aspect of their life is changing and we aim to make this process even more fresh and even more fun.

Start using our site today by searching for your town and find out what people are saying right now. You don't need to be a twitter user to see what's going on but if you are then log-in using your twitter account and you will be able to send tweets directly from our site.

Our Tags

We have a couple of methods to make it even easier for our town information to be filtered. We use a couple of tags, firstly make sure you mention the name of the town you are tweeting about e.g Birmingham. This will ensure that the message is filtered directly to the Birmingham pages. This next method is to sort by category e.g news. We do this by adding * before the category. So an example of the whole message could be: Birmingham *news there's been an evacuation of new street station.
